In compliance with government’s policy concerning the privatization of National Institutions in Iran, board of directors of National Iranian Oil Refining & Distribution Company (NIORDC), decided to establish a semi-private firm to execute design and construction activities in oil & gas industries.

With this aim, a branch of National Iranian Oil Engineering & Construction Company (NIOE&C), involved in engineering & design activities for over 50 years affiliated to NIORDC has merged with another formerly NIEO&C affiliated company (OIMC established in 1991) which was previously active in supplying construction machinery and executing construction projects, establishing a new company under the name of Oil Design & Construction Company (OD&CC) with shares of private sector.
